So who's beautiful now?

I've had a blog before, but never one hidden from the rest of the world in terms of my identity. I was recently reading a book about this girl who set up a secret blog about her shoplifting, and giving the stolen goods to charity shops. Her blog then became famous and it followed her story, on and offline.
This gave me the will to do something over these tedious holidays, and start a blog.
A lot of things run through my head; things others may find boring, or very interesting. I wonder about other people's actions, and how it's possible for two similar people to feel so very different about a certain subject.
Racism is a big one for me. I know I can be casually racist, and make the odd joke, but I do not believe myself to be racist. I wouldn't treat someone differently, or think lesser of them because of the colour of their skin, their race or their nationality. Some people feel extremely strongly about this, and some people don't. I guess that's just the way we are. All different.
There's that old cliched saying, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Although this is incredibly cheesy, it does hold somewhat of a deeper meaning. The meaning of how beauty is seen to some as make-up, large breasts, tight clothing and skinny, though is seen to others as someone with a big smile, cute dimples, carrying a bit of weight etc. Everyone can have their opinion, but I don't believe that's it's right to immediately label someone who is an English size 6 a beauty. Because that's not what everyone believes. It's opinion.
If we hadn't all been brought up in a world where tiny fashion models are considered gorgeous, would we have a different outlook on "beauty"?
One of those things, you know?
